Become a First Family

At First Steps, we welcome new families year-round. Our goal is to make the enrollment process as simple and transparent and equitable as possible.

​

That being said, childcare spots are generally offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with a few exceptions:

  • Siblings of currently enrolled children may receive priority.

  • Placement often depends on openings within specific age groups.

  • Infant classrooms often have much longer wait times due to limited class size. This is mostly because the state ratio for infants is 4 infants per 1 provider.

Our Enrollment Steps

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Following our four step enrollment process.

First Step

Submit your New Student Application and your $50 application fee.

Watch our online waitlist for updates, review our handbook, and schedule a tour.

Second Step

Once a slot is open, we'll send you a start date* and a digital packet to fill out.

​

Third Step

Before their first day, set up your payments in the Brightwheel app and pay one week of tuition as a deposit.

Final Step

* Not sure your child is ready for a full day right away? You can begin with up to a week of “soft starts", shorter half-day visits to help them adjust.

New Student Application

Online applications are hosted through Brightwheel for both Centers. You will be asked to make a new account to fill out the application. After you complete the application, please make sure the Brightwheel App is downloaded on your phone for easier communication with the center.
