About First Steps on Main

First Steps on Main has been serving Atchison families for years as a trusted, nurturing place for children to learn and grow. Located in the heart of downtown, our center offers a safe and welcoming environment where children from birth to age 12 can thrive through play, discovery, and care that feels like family.

 

This Center was opened in 2013, following extensive renovations to turn what was a blank metal building into the well-equipped early childhood center it is today.

Each summer we take field trips to the movie theater, parks, pool, and more.

Transportation

If your child attends a local school for half day Pre-K, we can transport them back to the Center (fee applies).

Built in Vacation

Each child is allowed two weeks of vacation each year, tuition-free.
